The armchair was made of bentwood with a white plastic coating. The frame shows signs of wear and tear appropriate to its age. Under the seat there are initial signs of the plastic coating coming off. The back, sides and seat cushions have been reupholstered in a navy blue fabric. The armchair stands on original castors. 
 This extraordinary lounge chair was designed in the 1960s for the Greek airline Olympic Airways and was used in the lounge areas. The space-age lines of the chair were way ahead of its time and still look modern today.
