The two Nuvola chairs are in excellent, as new condition. The solid stainless steel frame harmonizes perfectly with the tightly stretched black polyester mesh of the seats and backrests. The mesh is edged with black leather straps at the corners. This model also has matching leather pads on the seat, which can be removed if necessary. These are also in perfect condition. The lines and the mix of materials of the chairs ensure an excellent seating experience. These chairs are more of a work of art than just a piece of seating furniture. A statement in any room.
More than 100 years ago, the Wilkhahn company was founded by Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening as a chair factory. In 1946, contact was made with the Deutsche Werkstätten and the designers Georg Leowald and Herbert Hirche, who worked in the Bauhaus tradition. Since then, Wilkhahn has been one of the premium manufacturers of office furniture. The architect Herbert Ohl designed these chairs for Wilkhahn in the 1980s and is known for his postmodern, airy and flowing designs.
