A set of four Tulip chairs with light-colored seat shells and aluminum legs, in excellent condition. The fiberglass seat shells are crack-free, with only slight wear on one corner, and display a very attractive patina. The metal legs show hardly any signs of wear. Two of the chairs have a swivel mechanism with a return function, while two are fixed. The chairs come with four black seat cushions with sturdy cotton covers, all in very good condition.
Canadian designer Maurice Burke designed this model in the 1970s for the British manufacturer Arkana. During this period, Burke and Arkana produced several mid-century icons, such as these Tulip chairs.
