A Safari armchair by Maurice Burke that comes in excellent condition. The black faux leather is suspended from black lacquered metal rods, shows virtually no signs of wear, and offers excellent seating comfort. The teak frame, with its warm wood tone, harmonizes perfectly with the black leather of the seat. The teak feet show minimal signs of wear.
Canadian designer Maurice Burke designed this model in the 1970s for the Scottish manufacturer Arkana. During this period, Burke and Arkana produced several mid-century icons, such as this Safari armchair.
